- Overview
Day 1 – Arrival in the Pantanal
Your guide will be waiting for you at the airport or hotel (at the predetermined time) upon your arrival. From there, you will travel by car to the lodge.
The first part of the journey takes about one hour/100km on a paved road to Poconé, which is the capital of the Pantanal and the last city before entering the world’s largest flooded plain. From Poconé, we will enter the famous Transpantaneira Highway, where we will find ideal spots for photography and wildlife observation right at the beginning. Upon arriving at the hotel in the late afternoon, you will be welcomed by the host and enjoy your first dinner with the best local cuisine in the region.
Right after dinner, you will have a night safari to observe nocturnal mammals.
Day 2 – Boat tour for jaguar observation
When the waters of the Pantanal are lower and the riverbanks are exposed, jaguars are often found resting and hunting along the riverbanks. We will also encounter other interesting wildlife, including giant otters, small otters, caimans, capybaras, tapirs, anacondas, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, and many bird species, including the magnificent toucan and the endangered hyacinth macaw.
We often enjoy our lunch while observing the jaguar. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to take a safe break to use the restroom on the beach if needed. We believe you are seeking the best jaguar experience in the Pantanal. Since we know the behavior of these animals well and understand how unpredictable they can be, we choose not to miss any moment and bring everything we need so that you won’t miss an unforgettable memory.
Day 3 – Activities in the Reserve & Safaris
Breakfast served between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.
Departure for a 2-hour walk through the reserve, exploring trails and observing
the local wildlife.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
At 3:00 PM, departure for a vehicle safari through different areas of the region.
Dinner included.
After dinner, a night safari takes place, increasing the chances of spotting
species with crepuscular and nocturnal habits, providing an even more
complete experience.
Day 4 – Last day
At 6:30 a.m., the last breakfast in the reserve. After breakfast, you will have a 1.5-hour trail. Following the trail, you will have time to organize your luggage. Departure for Cuiabá at 9:30 a.m.
